(Day 1) Our expedition team will welcome you at the Norwegian Travel Sales shop in the city center of Tromsø. Upon arrival, we will bring you to Quest, our ship, where you will be introduced to the expedition program and get a safety briefing. After the three-course Arctic cuisine dinner we will head out on the first excursion of the expedition: taking the Fjellheisen cable car to the top of the Storsteinen Mountain, a first chance of seeing the northern lights.
Back on the ship, we will set course southwards arriving in Andøy by morning.

(Day 2) Located in open sea, Andøy region is one of the most popular whale watching destinations in Norway. If optimal sea conditions, we will get a chance here to search, spot, and photograph these gentle giants in their natural habitat. If conditions are unfavorable, we also have the option of docking our ship and learn about the whales and Arctic wildlife at the local museum instead. On the same day, we will continue sailing towards Sortland from where we go for a visit to the Sami Camp and learn about their culture, their long history of reindeer herding, and we will get to feed and engage with the reindeer.

(Day 3) On this day, we will set sail towards Raftsundet and into the famously beautiful Trollfjord where, if the weather permits, we will embark and launch our RIBs. Heading into Trollfjord by RIB will give us the chance to admire the majesty of the mountains surrounding this narrow and impressive fjord up-close and we may even spot some eagles! After this unforgettable fjord experience, we continue sailing to our next excursion in Henningsvær “the Venice of the North.” Our fisherman guide will take us on a 200-year journey at the famous Full Steam, a cod liver oil factory where we will get a taste of the history of cod and its significance in the history of Norway.

(Day 4) The next day, we will sail along the coast of Lofoten to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, Nusfjord, being one of the oldest and best-preserved fisherman’s villages in Norway. We will access the town by RIBs and enjoy a guided tour through the village to learn about the historic Arctic lifestyle of fisherman and the fishing industry. From Nusfjord, we will travel over 1000 years back in time when visiting the famous Lofotr Viking Museum and the longest Viking Longhouse. Here we will get to indulge in Viking traditions while enjoying a proper Viking feast for lunch. After lunch we will travel to Svolvær for another town visit and sightseeing. Dinner will be served on board, but we will head out for an evening walk to explore and search for the northern lights on land.

(Day 5) In the morning, before we start sailing, our crew might encourage you to face a challenge of endurance in a polar plunge into the Arctic Sea. After that unforgettable fjord experience, we will continue sailing towards Narvik, another fascinating and historically significant town where the biggest WWII battle on Norwegian ground has occurred. Here you will have some free time to explore the historical mining port and a choice of museums you can visit. In the evening we will head out on a guided northern lights chase onboard the Arctic Train, learning about the northern lights while experiencing a scenic journey traveling to our northern lights´ basecamp away from all light pollution.

(Day 6) On our last day, our team will present with all the amazing moments we spent together and all the amazing places we visited and experiences we had in a slide show. In Narvik, we will disembark the ship and set off on our last activity: a self-drive dog sledding adventure at one of our wilderness camps. We will finish off this experience by having a cozy meal by a bonfire. After all the fun, it will be time for us to take the bus back to Tromsø.
