Fjellheisen Cable Car: Roundtrip Ticket (Both Ways)

The Cable Car's lower station is located in Solliveien in Tromsdalen, a 30 minute walk/ 10 minute bus drive from the city center of Tromsø.

From the lower station, journey up the mountain ledge Storsteinen at 421m above sea level. The journey to the upper station takes about 5 minutes. There are two gondolas, known as Seal and Polar bear. Providing a regular service, the cable car operates every full and half hour.
Each gondola has a capacity of approximately 28 passengers, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride for everyone. If we are unable to accommodate everyone on the first journey, we will add another journey subsequently.

At the upper station, walk onto the viewing platform and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Tromsø and the surrounding islands, and visit our restaurant “Fjellstua” offering (warm/cold) beverages, snacks and/or a full meal.

The cable car travels up and down the mountain every full & half hour. You can decide for yourself how long you want to be on the mountain within our opening hours.
