Snowmobiling at Camp Tamok - Including Transport

This option includes a return bus transfer from the city centre of Tromsø to Camp Tamok.

Depart from the city center of Tromsø by bus and embark on an exciting snowmobiling adventure. After a 90-minute bus journey, you will enter the remote area Tamokdalen where our wilderness camp is located.

Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you will be outfitted with all necessary gear including thermal suit, boots, gloves and helmet. Our expert guides will provide thorough safety instructions on how to drive a snowmobile, ensuring everyone feels confident and safe before heading out on the tour.
Follow your tour guide and navigate along snowy trails, passing snow-covered mountains, valleys, frozen rivers, and lakes.
You will share a snowmobile with another person, taking turns as the driver and passenger. Halfway through the tour, we’ll have a short break where you'll swap places, ensuring both of you have the chance to drive the snowmobile.

With everyone returned to the camp, a warm meal awaits in one of our traditional lavvus (indigenous Sámi tent).  After some relaxing time inside, it's time to board the bus and return to Tromsø, taking with you great memories of an adrenaline-filled day in the Arctic wilderness.

  • Evening tour at 17:00:  Although this tour does not focus on chasing the northern lights, as we will venture into total darkness, we might get lucky and witness them while being out on the tour, adding an extra touch of magic to this evening adventure.
