Tromsø

Short Reindeer Sledding, Reindeer Feeding and Sami Culture

Greetings from Tromsø! We're a Sami reindeer herding family with roots that run as deep as the snowy valleys that cradle our 300-strong reindeer family. Our heritage is an open book, and we're eager to share it with you.

Embark on a 10–15-minute sleigh ride, guided by our trusty reindeer companions, as they lead you through the valley and along the coast. After this thrilling adventure, you'll have the incredible chance to feed our over 300 gentle reindeer.

Then, as the day winds down, gather 'round the gamme for a piping hot, time-honored meal prepared right over the fire. It's the kind of feast that warms not just your belly but your heart. And as the night falls, prepare to be enchanted by the mesmerizing melodies of joiking, our traditional Sami songs, while we share the vivid tapestry of Sami history and stories.

So, put on your sense of adventure and join us for a day that weaves nature, tradition, and the enduring spirit of the Sami people into an unforgettable tapestry of experiences.

Accessibility:

We are happy to welcome guests who use wheelchairs or have any other mobility issues. If special transportation is needed, please contact us via email.

There is an accessible toilet at the camp. Assistance dogs are allowed at the camp, but they need to stay away from the area where the reindeer are since the reindeer might get scared of the dog.
