The Hermes II, originally constructed in 1917 as a cargo ship transporting fish, coal, animals, and construction materials, evolved to include shrimp and capelin fishing in its repertoire. Following years of painstaking restoration work from 2016 to 2019, it was rightfully designated a certified preservation masterpiece. In 2021, our unwavering commitment to preserving this vessel earned us the esteemed Tromsø Culture Community Award.

Warm clothes. To make the trip comfortable, you should dress well and warmly. Remember that hats, scarves, mittens and sturdy, warm shoes are also important clothing.
