Camp Tamok - Cabin Overnight Package
Enjoy creating your Arctic experience at Camp Tamok. Tailor-make your own overnight program by selecting your activities and preferred accommodation. Select from snowmobiling, reindeer Sledding, snowshoeing, dog sledding, and a northern lights tour.
Join us at Tromsø city center for a 90-minute bus drive to Camp Tamok, located in the beautiful Tamok Valley. Camp Tamok has been exclusively built as a wilderness camp with a balance of authenticity and comfort. At the camp you will find traditional and rustic Northern Norwegian buildings: several lavvus, timber cabins and Arctic glamping tents, toilet facilities, as well as husky kennel and reindeer camp.
Upon arrival, we will provide you with warm winter clothing, boots and gear before you head off on your evening activity.

After the evening activity, there will be time to relax and warm up inside as we will serve a hot meal around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent, at the camp.
After the meal, around 22:30, it is time to check in to your accommodation for the evening.

* Note Single Supplement for all Cabin Types: If you are making a reservation for 1 person only, a mandatory surcharge to enable private use of one of our cabins must be added to your reservation. Please select this option (adding additional fees) on the last step "Finalize booking", when booking this package.
The next morning starts with a traditional Norwegian breakfast followed by the daytime activity of your choice.

After the activity, you will be served a hot meal around an open fire in the lavvu (indigenous Sámi tent). After a relaxing lunch and warming up inside, your overnight stay journey at Camp Tamok has come to an end and it will be time to board the bus back to Tromsø city center.

Good to know
- Please read the descriptions of each activity for more specific practical information before booking the package: availability, what is included in each activity, restrictions and minimum age for children.
- Certain activities have different season start dates, therefore may not be available to choose as a part of this Overnight Package when making the booking.
- After your evening activity & dinner, you can check in to your accommodation for the evening: around 22:30 (10:30PM)
- Private use of a cabin (1 person staying instead of 2 persons) the supplement is mandatory and not optional.
When making a reservation for 1 person, the single supplement has to be added on the final step of your reservation.
Mandatory: if we notice the surcharge has not been added, notice will be given, and we are entitled to add the additional fees after your booking has been made.
Restrictions
- Age limit is 7 years.
- When making a booking for a child, please kindly always inform us of the age, as our guides will then be able to prepare accordingly.
- Please note that each child must be accompanied by an adult.
Food and beverages
- Evening meal: Complimentary traditional Norwegian soup/stew (vegetables with meat or fish).
- Breakfast: Traditional Norwegian breakfast
- Lunch: Complimentary traditional Norwegian soup/stew.
- Coffee, tea and water will be available throughout the whole stay.

- Please advise us during your booking of any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
- If no notice is given in advance, an extra fee of 150 NOK will be charged.
What to bring or wear
- Dress in warm winter clothing and in layers so you can adjust your clothing to the weather.
- Bringing a scarf in cold weather.
Self-drive tour
Important note when selecting Dog Sledding as one of your activities:
This advanced dog sledding adventure has been labelled as a challenging activity with high difficulty level:
- The tour requires strength and fitness from all our guests, and a good physical condition is necessary to participate.
- Be prepared for outdoor weather conditions which can be harsh and unpredictable during Arctic winter. Temperatures often drop below freezing, with averages ranging from -10°C to -20°C.
- Some parts of the trail can be covered with a fresh layer of snow or go uphill which means in both cases you will have to help the dogs to push the sled.
- The trail can be narrow and have sharp bends, which requires a good balance to steer the sled.
- Since you will be sharing the sled with another person it is required for both of you to meet these requirements when swapping places halfway the tour.
- Our guides are entitled to deny drivers and passengers to join this tour out of health and safety reason.
