At our wilderness center Camp Tamok, you can experience the magical winter landscape and fun of snowmobiling. Upon arrival you will be directed to the equipment room, where you will be provided with warm clothes and shoes for the day. Here you can also leave anything you won't need on the tour. We will go through our safety instructions and give you some practical demonstration on how to drive the snowmobile.
You will drive in pairs, one driver and one passenger, on each snowmobile with the opportunity to switch places during the trip.
Even though this tour is not focused on hunting the Northern Lights, being outside on a dark winter evening might give a wonderful opportunity to witness the lights while going out on this adventure. We will be able to make (photo) stops along the way if the Northern Lights appear.
After driving back down the trail and parking the snowmobiles, we will serve you a hot meal in a traditional North Norwegian setting around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent. After relaxing and warming up, it is time to head back to Tromsø and tick another adventure off your bucket list!
Note! In order to drive the snowmobile, you need to be minimum 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license. Children below the age of 7 are not allowed. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
